Abbey Ale by Ommegang

Abbey Ale. Dubbel. Ommegang. Cooperstown, New York.

Fall 2010.

My review on RateBeer:

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
AHTOH (6) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 10, 2010
12 ounce. Poured into Ommegang glass. Pours rich, dark mahogany color. Creamy head dissipates relatively quickly to form only a thin layer. Aromas of Belgian yeast, spiciness, chocolate, roasted malts. Subtle hints of cooper. Cooper (penny) taste on back of palate. Roasted malt flavor on front palate. Mouth feel has nice carbonation on the front palate for a dark Belgian ale. Smooth feel on back palate.
